Jonathan Dworkin: SVP of Digital Strategy & Business Development, UMG
Mr. Jonathan Dworkin has been Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy and Business Development at Universal Music Group, Inc. since May 16, 2016. Mr. Dworkin has specific responsibility for overseeing integration of Universal Music's digital strategy throughout its international organization. He has more than two decades of experience in the music industry. He served as Chief Marketing Officer of MixRadio, where he oversaw execution in its 31 markets, global marketing and business development. He served as Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy & Business Development at Warner Music Group Corp., from November 2013 to September 2014. Mr. Dworkin joined Nokia in 2008, he was instrumental in growing Nokia's music services - including Nokia Music Stores, with Music and Mix Radio across 38 countries. He joined Warner Music from Nokia, where he was Global Head of Business Affairs and Strategy in the entertainment division. He was instrumental in growing Nokia's music services, including Nokia Music Stores, Comes with Music and Mix Radio, across 38 countries. In 2004, he joined Lagardere SCA to help launch US operations for its mobile division, creating original content brands BlingTones and BarrioMobile. Prior to that, he launched Brick House Music, looking after the careers of artists and producers including J Dilla, Pete Rock, Memphis Bleek and GoodandEvil. He started out as a session guitar player and sound engineer. Mr. Dworkin holds a BA from Colgate University and an MBA from Columbia University.
