Turo Pekari: Senior Advisor, Innovation & Discovery, Teosto and Co-founder, Teosto Future Labs
Turo Pekari co-founded Teosto Futures Lab, the in-house innovation platform of Teosto in December 2016. His work focuses in partnering Teosto to global music innovation ecosystems, market insight and future strategy work and collaboration with startups, universities and research centers to create new value, business models and a sustainable future for music creators.
Turo is also a member of The Nemo Project, the winner of University of Helsinki’s science-based innovation competition Helsinki Challenge that organizes Emotion Hack Day events and he has been recently contributing to music industry initiatives like Open Music Initiative and MTF Labs. Turo has 15 years of research experience and he has been working for 7 years in music industry.
Teosto is the collection society of musical authors and publishers in Finland, dedicated to securing a sustainable environment for professional music-making in Finland and to ensuring that Finnish music continues to be performed, now and in the future. In promoting the wellbeing of music-makers, we are championing the wellbeing and growth of the creative sector as a whole and of Finnish society at large – as we have been doing since 1928.
